I know we shouldnt ask medical questions, but I'll take a chance on this one.Whats a good alternative to ADVIL or any type of pain killers to get rid of joint/knee pain-a certain type exercise maybe???

The first thing you have to do is find out what is causing the pain. Anything else like medication is a palliative measure.

quote:
Palliative: relieving pain or alleviating a problem without dealing with the underlying cause.

The underlying problem can be with something that has injured the knee, or in some way that you are using the knee. In either case, that is what must be assessed. Then, when you have found out the cause, you can embark on curative measures.
In my opinion, medications are not the answer.

Yes sometimes by masking pain we then feel better and go on and continue to do strenuous activity and make the injury worse without really realisng as the painkiller is masking the pain.
Rest the knee up and get it looked at. That is all you can do.
