Arts & Business is how I ended up on the Board of JazzXchange. For those unsure how to pierce the world of the arts a little deeper than just enjoying as a member of the audience, Arts & Business can be very helpful. The organisation introduces professionally trained people to boards of arts organisations to provide certain skills that may be lacking. Very often a Board of Directors of a theatre or dance company, for example, can be strong on ideas and creativity, but less organised in terms of legal reporting or accounts interpretation.
