<B>Bridging the Gap</B><BR>By Kerry Chappell for londondance.com<P><BR>In the first few years of a dance artist’s career, opportunities for Continuing Professional Development (or CPD) seem to abound. Before undergraduate courses have even come to an end, audition notices entice students to become members of fourth year performance companies. If this is not an option upon graduation, then a multitude of open classes vie with each other in the listings offering more techniques than it seems possible to learn. For the first few summers, the choice of intensives is overwhelming and there are adverts for complimentary therapies which compliment everything and anything you can think of.
