Cathy, our tireless Paris-based Moderator, has drawn our attention to the visit of the Kirov to Paris in October 2002. The season consists of:
- 'Nijinsky et Fokine'; Petrouchka, Shéhérazade, Danses polovtsiennes, Le Spectre de la rose and L’Oiseau de feu.
- The recreation of the original version of 'La Bayadère' in four acts.
- 'Nutcracker'
The big bonus for UK fans is that the top ticket price is around £40. Thus apart from the delight of seeing the Kirov in 2002, the cash-saving can go towards the cost of the train fare.
Sounds like a great way to cheer ourselves up, as memories of Summer fade.
Here is the link to the information and discussion in our 'Ballet' forum.

[This message has been edited by Stuart Sweeney (edited March 16, 2002).]
