Jan,<P>Most local studios will follow a syllabus of some kind and will want you to be qualified or at least willing to study to become qualified in that particular syllabus. I would have no problem taking on someone who wasn't qualified who could show they had the experience and the references to back that up. However insurance can be funny. It can be diificult to insure a teacher who is not affiliated to a particular body. For example I get public liability as part of my affiliation.
