Ballet Exhibition
by Jeremy Last for Totally Jewish

A Jewish artist has taken inspiration from her childhood days as a ballerina to produce an exhibition of paintings focusing on ballet dancers of all ages.

Northwood-based Jackie Simmonds’ latest exhibition aims to illustrate the “grace and strength of the dancer” through more than 40 paintings and sketches.

She said: “Each exhibition I present has a different theme and for this one I decided to focus on ballet to reconnect with the world of dance, something I always wanted to get involved in.”
