Davies to launch £4.2m dance studio

Choreographer Siobhan Davies is to create a new £4.2 million dance studio in south London that will enable the company to expand its professional development programmes for dancers and provide it with its first permanent home.

Davies established the company in 1988 and has presented new work every year in venues throughout the UK and abroad. The company has been in residence at the Royal Academy of Dance in Battersea since 2000 and over the the last two years has concentrated on offering professional development opportunities to young dancers.
