Those marvelous Ballet Boyz and Company are giving lots of UK fans a chance to see them do their thing.

On TV - Michael and Billy invite everyone to tune into their four part series '4Dance' which will be featured on Channel 4 on July 19th, July 26th, August 2nd, and August 9th at 7:30pm. They will also be featured on BBC1's Celebrity Ready, Steady, Cook on September 16th at 7:30pm. You should check your local listings for last minute changes to this programming.

On Stage - their new production will be at Sadler's Wells to run from September 23rd to September 27th at 7:30pm with a family matinee on September 27th at 2:30pm. Full details of the show are not yet available, but this much has been released: it will feature the world premiere of Christopher Wheeldon's Mesmerics, William Forsythe's Approximate Sonata I,V and a new dance by Cathy Marston with music by John Cage. Also joining GPD for the Sadler's Wells season will be Monica Zamora (ex-Birmingham Royal Ballet) and Hubert Essakow (ex-Royal Ballet and K Ballet).

If you are a supporter of GPD, they've reserved a number of first circle seats for each evening and they've planned an open rehearsal for this production as well. Reason enough to sign up.

And for we poor souls who live far across the Atlantic and have to depend on dear friends for video tapes and such....our time has come too. GPD will do a two month tour of the USA!!! October and November. I hope to be able to share cities and dates of that tour very shortly.

Yay!! :D ~Dani

Thanks Dani for this information. The new programme does look very strong and the Ballet Boyz are now rivalling the major ballet companies for the commissioning of new work.

I've been through our George Piper Dances topic under "UK Performances" and cleaned up the newspaper links that are no longer available. The topic provides an interesting record of the development of this dynamic Company and is well worth a look.
