Badejo Arts returns to the Wolsey Studio in Ipswich for another dynamic Bami Jo Summer School from Monday 4 to Friday 8 August. Following the huge success of last year’s course, youngsters aged 11 to 18 years can once again come along to join Peter Badejo (Artistic Director) with dancers and musicians from Badejo Arts for an intensive week of African dance and drumming.

This high-energy Summer School provides the opportunity to work closely with dancers and musicians from the company and to learn not only about Badejo Arts’ style of mixing traditional African dance technique with contemporary moves, but also about African drumming skills. Throughout the week participants will have the chance to create and develop their skills and perform their own dance piece at a final sharing for family and friends.

The Bami Jo Summer School runs from Monday 4 to Friday 8 August at the Wolsey Studio, St George’s Street, Ipswich. Each session begins at 10am and ends at 4pm. The course costs just £45 for the entire week.
