Hip Hop Musical "The Challenge"(Dj Le Defi) comes to the U.K for it's UK PREMIERE at THE OTHER CINEMA, SOHO on Thursday 13th March 2003. http://www.constellation-change.co.uk
Blanca Li is co-writer, choreographer, director and star of this cinematic hip-hop musical comedy. The film is a musical in the great Hollywood tradition transposed to a modern-day setting.

Elena (Blanca Li) and her 18 year old son David are amidst a communication crisis. David is sick of school and of his mother's bourgeois lifestyle. His only passion is to dance HIP HOP with his gang of friends and his sole goal is to be selected for the forthcoming World Battle Contest in New York City..
THE CHALLENGE

This is a musical where the actors don't sing but dance just like in the Hollywood musicals of the 1950's

The original nature of hip hop choreographed by Blanca Li pays tribute to Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire's mastery. For the film Blanca Li recruited best Break & Hip Hop dancers from France and United States. Already a huge Box Office , Blanca proves she's the most exciting Choreographer/directors to emerge in years.

Blanca Li is expected to fly in to the UK for one of the two film screenings
