*****************************

For the past decade most of the Western World's major and fast emerging
choreographers ( classical and contemporary) have spoken or not as the case
maybe about the wealth of ingenuity dancer's improvisation has brought to
development of their work.

The need to be in control of the finished product has largely foreboded the
next logical step of bringing this ingenuity direct to the audience without
'choreographic shaping'.

This is what Sheron Wray's research for her MA was distinctly centred upon.
She would like to share her ideas and methodology with a critical audience
of dancemakers (choreographers and dancers), musicians, academics, critics
and programmers. Together with of course, interested members of the general
public.

Following on from the presentation there will be an open discussion chaired
by Professor Christopher Bannerman.
On the panel (members tbc) will be artists from both music and dance
disciplines.

The presentation will be held at the Voice Box at the Royal Festival Hall
level 5 on Monday December 2nd 2002 from 7.30pm until 9pm.

Places are limited and require advanced booking; there will be no charge.
To reserve a place email celia@wac.co.uk or telephone Emma Pegler on 020
7237 0918.
