I have the good fortune of making several trips to London this fall, and , even without a Palm Pilot, I have color coded all of the dates of both the Royal Ballet and the Paris Opera Ballet, but for some reason the ENB had not really been on my radar screen.
Anyway, any general thoughts on The the ENBs style compared to the RB for those of you that have seen them both? I am not really looking for a 'which one is better' answer ( I have always thought that question was kind of silly at this level of dancing ). I am looking more for what people would say is the company's personality, or essence. I know , a tough question, but i swaer that there are certain companies where you could put all the performers in masks ( like that nutty bachelor show ), and dance the exact same piece, and you would still know which company is which.
