Sand sculpture, Russian ballet and Indian dance at festival
From The Western Mail

AS Tenby Arts Festival opens today, organisers promise that this year's event will be the most ambitious yet organised.

Among the highlights will be performances by Swansea's Ballet Russe and the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. There will also be visits by celebrated writers, Penny Vincenzi and Sir Clement Freud.

The festival has established a tradition of offering a busy and varied programme which offers something for all interests and tastes.

It traditionally opens with a weekend of family fun: a parade, music on the streets, a sand sculpture competition and kite-flying.
