Flamenco ace has never seen Spain!
If there's a lot more flamboyant toe-tapping and Spanish dance enthusiasm in Huddersfield and district these days it's mainly down to a woman from South Africa. HILARIE STELFOX reports in The Huddersfield Daily Examiner.

CANDY KAIFER was born in South Africa, now lives in Huddersfield and teaches Spanish dancing. She says she's almost embarrassed to admit that she's never been to Spain, but it hasn't stopped her from loving the flamboyant and exhilarating dance forms to be found there.

In fact Candy, who has danced the flamenco and Sevillanas since childhood, is hoping to pass on her enthusiasm to the Yorkshire public.

She already runs Spanish dance classes at Danceworks in Dundas Street, Huddersfield, and at the Hope Street Baptist Church in Hebden Bridge, and wants to offer more.
