"Billy Elliot "Producer" Joins Dance Film Debate
National Film Theatre 14th March 2003.
Award winning Producer of Stephen Daldry's 'Billy Elliot' Jon Finn joins the 3rd Constellation Change Screen Dance Festival debate.
The debate on Dance film Broadcasting and Distribution "How to Sell Your Dance Film ?" takes place at National Film Theatre on Friday 14th March 2003 at 2.30pm.
He joins a panel that includes Jan Younghusband (Editor of Music & Performance- CHANNEL 4). Dance programmes broadcast under her guidance include: Ballet Boyz, Matthew Bourne: Bourne to Dance; and the strand, 4Dance. Also, Avtar Panesar Head of Operations UK & Europe for Yash Raj Films,commonly regarded as India's number one Production House.

BRIT TALENT TO SHINE AT DANCE,CAMERA,ACTION! - Programme 2
Short dance films by British filmmakers Dennis Morrison (RED),choreographer by Sheron Wrey and Tim Meara (The Kreutzer Sonata), Choreographed by Ramberts Rafael Bonachela are expected to shine on the Dance,Camera,Action! - Programme 2 at the forthcoming 3rd Constellation Change Screen Dance Festival at National Film Theatre.
Other films screening include To A Woman's Heart(Bob Bentley) , and two Australian entries No Surrender (Richard James Allen) and Rubber Man Accepts Nobel Peace Prize(Karen Pearlman) .
Mitchell Rose's multi Award Winning film Modern Daydreams,a suite of four Chaplinesque films exploring the theme of movement engendered by day-to-day life complete the excellent programme. Dance, Camera, Action! - Programme 2

WEST END SHOWS COME TO BBC 4
BBC culture Channel BBC4 is to screen a series of West End theatre productions from the end of February 2003. Those commissioned by Roly Keating The Mysteries, a multilingual music version of Bible stories.
Launch Producers develop Musical feature slate
Akin Souleyman and Ellen Brandvold ,producers of the Award winning Dance Launch Series are currently in Utah for the 2003 Sundance film festival. They have been stateside seeking finance for a trio of low budget feature length musical film projects,which they hope to produce in London, Paris and Amsterdam after SERIES VI.
Speaking after the SOLD OUT screenings of CAMP ,Brandvold sited a third of the 2,000 feature films submitted to Sundance each year were shot on digital video(DV) rather than 35mm. Their venture aims to produce three musical DV films in a low-budget £500,000 budget range.

Dancehall Queen Directors completes Jamaican Romeo & Juliet film Director Rick Elgood and Don Letts best known for Dancehall Queen, are in post production on a new project. The Romantic comedy ONE LOVE , is a Romeo & Juliet love story set in rural Jamaica. The $2.6m project is backed by Film Council(UK).
Screen Dance Course 2003
Constellation Change Screen Dance Festival will be conducting a course (sponsored by London Arts) for Black and Asian students who wish to learn video camera techniques in the shooting of dance films .
SCREEN DANCE COURSE
Starting Early February on Saturday's Sat 8th,15th, 22nd Feb and 1st March 2003. This course covers all aspects of video camera techniques in the shooting of dance performances for the screen. This basic introductory course intended to give an all round perspective of video making for beginners and newcomers to video production. Course fee £80.00
