interesting male dancer in the world</small>

White Oak Dance Project at Sadler's Wells

This is just a quick note to inform you that the opening date of White Oak Dance Project at Sadler's Wells is NOT 8 October as previously advertised in the main new season brochure, it is now 9 - 13 October. The programme has also been amended and White Oak will now perform

LARGO choreographed by Lucinda Childs 2001 : Solo for Baryshnikov
EARLY FLOATING choreographed by Erick Hawkins 1961 : Company
THE EXPERTS choreographed by Sarah Michelson 2002-07-10 : Company
CHACONY choreographed by Lucinda Childs : Company

The final details are below.

White Oak Dance Project
Sadler's Wells
9 - 13 October, 7.30pm
Tickets £10 - £38
Jerwood Proms £5 (Sat & Sun)

Last seen at Sadler's Wells in 1999, Mikhail Baryshnikov and his company return for six performances as part of Dance Umbrella. The programme features two pieces choreographed by Lucinda Childs. Largo is an elegant, elegiac solo for Baryshnikov, danced to music by Arcangelo Corelli.

Chacony is a more abstract work for the full company. The dancers create an upbeat, sunny mood to 'Burlesque' from String Quartet No. 3 and 'Tarantella' from the Sinfonietta. The work takes on a darker tone with 'Chacony Sostenuto' from Britten's Second String Quartet.

Also featured is Early Floating choreographed by Erick Hawkins and The Experts, a company piece by Sarah Michelson, set to an electronic score by Mike Iveson Jr.
