Forget Me Not By Donald Hutera for The Times
A FEW seasons ago the alternative clown, circus and street performer Paka presented a piece called The Singularity at this same venue. The production, I recall, was shambolic but hugely ambitious and inventive. He and a pack of colleagues are at it again in Forget Me Not.
I won’t suggest that you run down to Deptford to see it. In the show’s own geriatrically paced terms, “creep” might be a more apposite verb. In their favour, however, Paka and his cohorts evince as much vision as Cirque du Soleil’s current Albert Hall extravaganza, but on a much smaller budget.
