IT WAS always going to be special; Scottish Dance Theatre, Scottish Ballet, Birmingham Royal Ballet, Phoenix Dance Theatre and Adam Cooper on the same bill.
But watching Dance Connections unfold, it became clear that the show wasn’t just about the performers - it was concerned with dance itself - the multiplicity, allure and downright beauty of the art form.
Running the gamut from classical ballet to contemporary via hip hop and dance theatre, this was a line-up dedicated to diversity.
And, remarkably for a seven-part mixed bill, there wasn’t a single weak link.
