News Release TRANSITIONS DANCE COMPANY 2003
Transitions Dance Company on tour in 2003
Transitions Dance Company embraces all that is new and exciting in contemporary dance. In 2003 the company present what is potentially its most diverse and challenging programme to date - an explosive mix of four new works especially commissioned from six choreographers performed by young dancers emerging into their professional careers.
Luca Silvestrini and Bettina Strickler - Soirée
The Artistic Directors of Protein Dance establish the etiquette of a high society cocktail party, but as the evening progresses events take a rather unexpected turn...
Ben Wright - For the feel of things
Influenced by the imagery of Marc Chagall, this piece takes place in a dream like setting, and explores the mystery of human physical connections.
Richard Siegal - f(r)
The dancers engage in activities which are intended to intrigue the watcher without giving away the movements’ meaning or function.
Cristian Duarte and Shani Granot - From this moment on…
This simple/complex dance work exposes the roughness and complexity of ‘myself’, it uses no masks and no make-up - watch with no pre-conceived ideas.
Plus the company revive Henri Oguike’s Brightside (2002), an example of the award-winning choreographer’s vigorous and intricate sense of musicality.
Transitions Dance Company has toured extensively to more than 129 venues across the world and in 2003 will tour throughout the UK and to venues in Asia and Europe.
