South By Lucy Wallis for The Stage
Storytelling, dance, myth, legend, drama and live music combine to form this colourful and original piece of theatre that sets out to explore the meaning of geographical direction.
Taking its inspiration from a Western myth, a tale from the East and a traditional Viking legend, the audience is woven into a narrative where the storyteller holds the power and the cast – and the audience in many respects – dance like puppets to her tune.
The production brings together the creative talents of writer and narrator Vayu Naidu and renowned jazz musician and composer Orphy Robinson.
