FACES are changing rapidly in the arts, with the formal announcement yesterday of key appointments at the ABC and the Australia Council.
Maurice Newman, chairman of the Australian Stock Exchange and chancellor of Macquarie University, is the new chairman of the ABC, the country's largest cultural organisation. At the Australia Council, Kathy Keele will take on the role of chief executive, a seat vacated by Jennifer Bott in August.
