As much as I would like to see this renovation move forward, it does not seem to be an auspicious time for such a huge, capital project. Especially in NYC, where wounds are still fresh, the city is "in the hole" billions of dollars apparently, tourism has dropped off precipitously, (not much revenue coming in). But we may not have choice; has it already started?
