David H - What you write about is EXACTLY what artAngels is all about - helping connect art lovers with arts organizations and artists - quickly and efficiently. I encourage you and your peers to register as "Angels" on the site - www.artangels.org - that way, arts organizations in need will know you're out there! Thank you! - Karina, ArtAngels Event Producer

Welcome, Karina, and thanks for bringing that to our attention. It helps answer a few more phone calls and messages I received from people asking about that aspect of artAngelhood.

One wonders why an organization such as this has an "Event Producer" on staff? Will they be throwing parties on a regular basis?

As a member of an organization that does one to two major events a year, I would KILL to have an events person on staff! The amount of time that staff spends doing the event, and not what their "normal" jobs are, is HUGE. Yet the event is needed, and counted on as part of our projected income. 6-9 months work is spent on these events. That's a lot of time to be not focused on the rest of your job.

Well, David, I know of an organization that will shortly be starting a search for an executive director.
