Will Goodspeed change its tune from "The Most Haddam Fella" to "Thoroughly Modern Middletown"?

That is the question the not-for-profit Goodspeed Musicals will be asking when Executive Director Michael Price meets with his board of directors Saturday on where to build its proposed $45 million theater complex.

For several years, the plan was to construct its new facility across the street from its present main-stage theater, the 1877 Victorian building at the center East Haddam. But when Middletown came a-wooing late last year, it was hard not to feel flattered - and tempted.
