Post subject:  Alessandra Corona Performing Works

Alessandra Corona, former principal dancer with Ballet Hispanico, presents her Alessandra Corona Performing Works in two world premieres by Italian choreographers: Kristian Cellini of Rome and Guido Tuveri of Sardinia. By Cellini is "Amore Impossibile," inspired by The Lady of the Camellias, featuring a narrator and music by Chopin and original music by American composer Thomas Lentakis. Cellini and Corona are both natives of Cagliari Sardinia, and his dance, "Just Joy," is set to songs from their native land, along with original music by Lentakis. "Just Joy" celebrates the stages of life and aims to show how, even in times of sorrow, dance always brings joy. May 30 & 31 at 8 PM at Baruch P.A. Center, 55 Lexington Avenue (entrance on 25th Street). Tickets: $30; $20 for students & dancers. Reservations at 212.352.3101 or http://www.baruch.cuny.edu.bpac
