Passion for Dance creates greater longevity and success for professional dancers.

More than 4.7 million people in the UK alone participate in some form of dance. With over 30,000 people employed in the dance industry and nearly 200 professional companies in the UK, Dance has become increasingly popular, possibly due to greater exposure on reality TV and Film. With this explosion of interest the Dance industry has become even harder than ever to break into. Only 1 in 5 full time students will become professionals.

However, as the art grows in popularity and with global online exposure, so does the competition to attend a world class training institution. Students must have not just the skill and inherent ability but now the focus is also on good health and physical facility and mental capabilities. Whereas in the past a dancer could survive on cigarettes and coffee, nowadays the increased competition means all facets of the dancers health must be exceptional.
This was highlighted when a talented student of Dance Essential directors Eden and Melissa Lee, (themselves former professional dancers),was diagnosed with low Vitamin D and multiple other deficiencies resulting in her missing a place at an elite dance school. was unable to accept a place at an elite institution. The students devastated mother turned to them for help, leading them to search for a supplement solution that provided all the micro nutrient needs in one dose. Unable to find a supplement that combined all the essential elements that a dancer specifically needs they set about creating their own daily Multivitamin.

A world first for the industry the dance specific supplement is currently being trialled by dancers of the Queensland Ballet in Australia as well as several other leading dance students worldwide.

Combining their background as professional dancers with their current roles as teachers and health advocates Eden and Melissa have a unique perspective on the needs of dancers.

There are several reasons Dancers may need to supplement their diet.

Poor nutritional uptake due to limited diet.
Injury Prevention
Decreased Energy levels
Increased Inflammation
Slow recovery from Injury
Career longevity relies on physical well being
Heavy workload can quickly deplete essentially nutrients
Transition from part time to full-time dance is challenging on growing bodies

Harrison Lee , Top dance student and recent winner of the Prix de Lausanne and Youth American Grand Prix said of taking the Dance Essential supplement “The most apparent benefit so far would have to be my increase in energy levels, I'm finding getting up of a morning is a lot easier and I'm not as lethargic of a night time!
