BALAM’s Grand Pas de Deux, from Peter Tchaikovsky’s magical and passionate ballet, “The Nutcracker Suite”, features Robin Gilbert, BALAM’s company ballerina, in the role of the Sugar Plum Fairy, and Carlos Fittante, BALAM’s artistic director, in the role of Cavalier. Fittante created the choreography for the Christmas Show’s Grand Pas de Deux blending the delicacy of point with exciting lifts and turns of balletic partnering to convey idyllic love in the land of the sweets.

“The Christmas Show is a Staten Island tradition and a great way to spend the holiday with the whole family. Robin Gilbert and Carlos Fittante dancing the Grand Pas de Deux are the highlight of the performance. They inspire the children and the entire cast,” said Doreen Cugno, Artistic Director of the Christmas Show.
