CAKE presents a work in progress installation viewed gallery style by Liz Sargent
built in collaboration with Djamila Moore. Reflect with a glass of wine and help
form this new work exploring decay, emptiness and the short inhalations of hope that
keep us moving forward. Performers play in an introspective hyper-real world where
collections of memory become illusions. This will be a place to see the unfolding of
raw images that will be shaped and detailed during a residency and premier at Mount
Tremper Arts on July 17th and 18th, 2009. Performed by Djamila Moore and Kristen
Warnick. ( ... AARdAALqGQ ) ( ... AAVoAALqGQ )

Trilogy of Two

Trilogy of Two is a series of three dance-integrated videos featuring original music
from indie- bands Towers of Hanoi, Hot Snakes and Antler. Each film in Trilogy
(lovebirds, snow, and yellow) follows two identical characters as they struggle in

Liz Sargent-s performance installations have been produced by Danspace Project
City/Dans, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council-s Sitelines, Dance Theatre Workshop-s

While Liz has focused particularly on her performance installations she has also
been active in education at The Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, and as an arts

Rockefeller New York City Cultural Innovation Fund, focusing on arts-based economic
development and urban revitalization. Programs are made possible, in part, with
funding from the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs/Cultural Development Fund.
Support has also been made possible by the Puffin Foundation support.

CAKE is an artist-run series offering -Carte Blanche- to an artist each Saturday
night, at 7.30 pm, to present work and ideas of their choosing. The program is
designed to challenge the status-quo of performance presentation. Embracing
developments in other disciplines as integral to the history and future of

presentations of new music, video, theater, performance, and installation-based
work. Contributing artists will be given complete artistic freedom for their
