About Your Hosts :
Andrew J. Nemr (
http://chezbushwick.pmailus.com/pmailwe ... AAtkAAKx0g ) , a protégé
of the great Gregory Hines and compatriot of Savion Glover, is on the crest of a new
wave of tap dance culture. He and his young troupe of like-minded hoofers CPD Plus
(Cats Paying Dues) are one of the most innovative tap companies working today.

As a performer Mr. Nemr-s moves never fails to amaze. With determined precision and
physical accuracy, Nemr-s combinations redefine rhythmic tap while his creative
performance language and smooth agility push and expand the gestural limits of the
art form.

As an advocate Mr. Nemr is a leader in the tap community. In 2002 along with the
late Gregory Hines, Mr. Nemr co-founded the Tap Legacy Foundation, Inc. (
http://chezbushwick.pmailus.com/pmailwe ... AA79AAKx0g ) , whose
mission is to preserve and advance the art of tap dance and build a cultural center
dedicated to the history and future of tap dancing.

FOR CAKE: Mr. Nemr and his company will perform several works from the current
repertoire including solo and full company work with sets that will feature both a
capella and accompaniment performances. The program will round out with an interview
in which the artist will discuss his early training, his mentor Gregory Hines, and
his future for the world of tap.
