Mozart Dances offers a visually stimulating, elegant, and often tender display of
movement and technique. Set to two Mozart piano concertos - No. 11 in F and No. 27
in B-flat - flanking his Sonata in D for Two Pianos, the piece is danced against
evocative backdrops by Howard Hodgkin. This critically-acclaimed evening-length
piece showcases Morris' skillful blending of folk dances, balletic partnering, and
ensemble sculptures. Rich and rewarding, and performed with the Dance Group's
trademark combination of lyricism and astounding precision, Mozart Dances marks the
company's highly anticipated return to Seattle after last season's L'Allegro, il
Penseroso ed il Moderato.

Mozart Dances was commissioned by Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts (New York),
New Crowned Hope (Vienna), and the Barbican Centre (London).
