Mancopy on Danceroads to North America



>From May 2010 Archauz and Mancopy Dance Company see yet another fruit of a
hard international work. Danceroads is a project where five young
choreographers is sent to five venues in Europe and Canada.

As the Danish representative, Jens Bjerregaard har picked out Lars Dahl
Pedersen, who will present a 20-minute work for Mancopys dancers. His
choreography will be shown together with four other selected choreographies
in Montreal, Canada, Cardiff in Wales, Turin in Italy, Archauz in Aarhus and
Arnheim in Holland.

Jens Bjerregaards three main arguments for Archauz´ and Mancopys
participation in Danceroads are these:

"Danceroads is our first transatlantic partnership. We send our house
company on tour and in May 2010 Archauz receives five young international
choreographers and their works," he says.

"This gives not only the company but also the Aarhus dance environment and
the citizens of Aarhus a lot of artistic benefit," Jens Bjerregaard
explains.

Mancopy med Danceroads til Nordamerika



Fra maj 2010 vil Archauz og Mancopy Dansekompagni se endnu en frugt af et
hårdt internationalt benarbejde. Danceroads er et projekt, hvor fem unge
koreografer sendes rundt til fem scener i Europa og Canada.

Som den danske repræsentant har Jens Bjerregaard peget på Lars Dahl
Pedersen, som skal præsentere et 20 minutters værk for Mancopys dansere.
Værket skal opføres sammen med de fire andre udvalgte koreografier i
Montreal i Canada, Cardiff i Wales, Torino i Italien, Archauz i Århus samt
Arnheim i Holland.

Jens Bjerregaard ridser de tre vigtigste argumenter op for Archauz´
deltagelse i netop Danceroads.

"Danceroads er vores første transatlantiske partnerskab. Vi sender vores
huskompagni på turné og i maj 2010 får Archauz besøg af fem unge
internationale koreografer og deres værker," fortæller han.

"Dermed får ikke kun kompagniet, men også det århusianske dansemiljø og
århusianerne glæde af Danceroads," slår Jens Bjerregaard fast.
