David Dawson continues his work at the Semperoper as permanent guest
choreographer as of 2009 | 2010

David Dawson will continue his work with the Dresden SemperOper Ballett
as permanent guest choreographer as of the upcoming season 2009 | 2010.

Since 1st of August 2006 Dawsonhas been Resident Choreographer at the
Sächsische Staatsoper Dresden and has worked with the Dresden
SemperOper Ballett. Together with Artistic Director Aaron S. Watkin he
built the ballet company and contributed fundamentally to its success
and international reputation.

As of next season Dawsonwill no longer be bound to the Sächsische
Staatsoper as Resident Choreographer although in the future he will
still play an important role in the artistic development andin creating
the image of the ballet company.

Artistic Director Aaron S. Watkin’s vision of the artistic identity of
the Dresden SemperOper Ballett is to a great extent connected to the
work of the English choreographer. Watkin appreciates his creative
energy and the strong artistic impulses with which Dawsoninspires the
dancers. «It is very important to me that the special relationship with
David Dawson continues», Watkin said.
