New York International Ballet Competition, which appeared in 2007 at the
Rose Theater, is pleased to announce that it has just finalized a 10-year
agreement with Jazz at Lincoln Center. NYIBC will hold the next five bi-annual
competitions in the Rose Theater at Frederick P. Rose Hall, Broadway at 60th
Street, home of Jazz at Lincoln Center, with June dates in 2009, 2011, 2013,
2015 and 2017.

Exceptional young dancers from seventeen countries around the world, from
China to Colombia, will arrive in New York the beginning of June for their
two-week preparation period, during which they will learn the three pas de deux
selected for this year's Competition. Following their daily class, the
dancers will learn new repertory, taught and coached by distinguished artists.
The excitement continues when, on June 24th, they move into the beautiful
Rose Theater for the Competition, dancing before educated audiences and a
distinguished international panel of judges. NYIBC is a challenge, an
educational experience, and a career-maker for some of the participants.

Ilona Copen is Founder/Director of NYIBC; Eleanor D'Antuono continues as
Artistic Director; and Richard Chen See, newly retired after 15 years as a
member of the Paul Taylor Dance Company, is Director.

JAZZ AT LINCOLN CENTER is dedicated to inspiring and growing audiences for
