Theatre O and Enda Walsh's DELIRIUM

Following his outstanding success, with The Walworth Farce, at this
year's Edinburgh Festival multi award-winning writer Enda Walsh is
back in the studio for a major new collaboration with the explosive
Theatre O.

With significant support from The Barbican (London) and The Abbey
(Dublin), and Arts Council England, DELIRIUM is set to be one of the
most essential pieces of new theatre in the 2008 calendar.

"DELIRIUM is our free and outrageous adaptation of Dostoyevsky's
classic, The Brothers Karamazov", says Theatre O's Joint Artistic
Director, Joseph Alford. "Combining Theatre O's visually explosive
and thought provoking story telling, with Enda Walsh's feverishly
exciting and blackly comic writing, this show promises to make quite
an impact."

Theatre O and Enda Walsh began working together in the National
Theatre Studio in 2005. During that time they have explored the
relationship between devising and writing. DELIRIUM is the first
result of this maturing relationship.

Delirium will be touring across the UK from April 2008. For more

Notes to editors:

DELIRIUM is a co-production with The Barbican (London) and The Abbey

DELIRIUM is funded by Arts Council England, the national development
agency for the arts, through its Grants for the arts programme for
individuals and organisations.

Theatre O has been creating original theatre, on an international
platform, since 2000. Their previous projects, including Three Dark
Tales, The Argument and Astronaut, have been seen around the world
and have received public and critical acclaim.

Enda Walsh is recognised as one of the UK's most exciting
contemporary playwrights. His previous projects, including Disco Pigs
and Chatroom, have won him a reputation for brilliance and
originality. His most recent outing with The Walworth Farce won him
rave reviews and a Fringe First at The Edinburgh Festival 2007.

Joseph Alford is available for interviews.
