OPEN CALL TO ARTISTS
FROM OUR FRIENDS AT DANCE THEATRE ETCETERA
ANGELS AND ACCORDIONS
RETURNS TO GREEN-WOOD CEMETERY

Dance Theatre Etcetera’s acclaimed site-specific production ANGELS AND ACCORDIONS
will return to Green-Wood Cemetery this October in conjunction with
openhousenewyork’s (OHNY) citywide celebration of significant urban architecture.
This year’s program will feature renown composer/accordionist Guy Klucesvek. On
Saturday October 7, 2006 the public is invited to visit Green-Wood Cemetery for two
walking tours at 12:30 and 3:30 PM. This will mark the third year of this
production which has become a favorite event on the OHNY tour- with an anticipated
audience of 2000.

Dance Theatre Etcetera would like to invite dancers, actors, singers and
accordionists to join us on this project. Performers will be mainly situated along
the tour in tableaux. Others will be reciting the names of people buried in
Greenwood’s catacombs and interacting with a slide show featuring portraits of
selected individuals interred at Greenwood. Music Director Bob Goldberg assembles an
ensemble of 10 accordionists to lead the tours. Musicians will play from various
locations throughout the site. Each tour will conclude with a music and movement
section on the hillside by the Chapel.
