BAX/BROOKLYN ARTS EXCHANGE
SEEKING DANCE, THEATER, PERFORMANCE WORKS

APPLY TO BE PART OF BAX's 06-07 SEASON

BAX is seeking new dance, theater or performance works for its 2007 Performance
Season. Dates run between January – May 2007. We are seeking work appropriate for
the following series:

First Weekends New Performance & Discussion Series – two evenings of performance in
a shared program usually with 2 other artists. Works can be no longer than 15
minutes. A conversation follows the performance.

The Groundhog Series for Family Audiences – geared to children and families ages 3
and up – takes place Sundays in February – works should be no longer than 50 minutes
and MUST have an interactive component with the audience.

Annual Women’s Performance Festival – March performances. Work no longer than 30
minutes. Work should articulate a political, social, cultural or artistic point of
view of interest to women. Women and transgendered artists only. Please do not
submit work that is only created by a woman as a rationale.

BAX provides modest artist stipends, lighting, sound, production/front of house
staff, and publicity.

ALL MATERIALS MUST ARRIVE AT BAX no later than Thursday July 13, 2006 at 4:00PM (in
the office, not postmarked). You will be notified by August 11, 2006. Late
submissions will not be accepted.
