Putting aside the fact that some of these no longer perform in the classical style, this is still an odd list with only a couple of names actually worthy of being 'stars'. Would CriticalDance posters care to create a more realistic list?

Putting aside the fact that Tama Rojo is just above mediocre, how did such an awful photo of her get past the press office? unless of course her dancing is now so devoid of line that that was the best they could find.

It often stuns me what journalists will publish. I didn't check to see who wrote that but they don't seem to know much about dance to be lopping different generations together, many of whom on the list aren't even dancing anymore, at least not classical (Guillem, Baryshnikov, Rojo). And yes that photo of Rojo was awful; I saw her perform once here in Russia and was not impressed.

I can't believe how bad many photos of dancers currently in circulation are, it seems the art of ballet photography is dying on its feet.
