After a few years where the dance selection was painfully thin, the EIF seems to be reaching great dance heights again. While I think it's silly to have 6 modern/contemporary companies and just one classical ballet company (Edinburgh tends to get plenty of modern/contemporary dance during the year, but the same short selection of ballet companies), the dance selection is quite impressive:

And it's nice to see that tickets prices seem to kept relatively low. The highest advertised price for the Mariinsky is GBP 46, which is a bargain when you consider prices in NY and Toronto. Plus, they are performing at the Festival Theatre, which is excellent for dance (biggest stage in the UK other than Covent Garden).
