Post subject:  Boston Ballet -- How It Works -- Internet Telecasts

This is the Boston Ballet's first live telecast (now can be seen here recorded) in a planned series of live internet programs from its own site. The next will be on April 4th.

I have never seen a full ballet class and this 45 minute presentation is a very nice introduction.

This is the Boston Ballet senior class being taught by Margaret Tracey. I really enjoyed focussing on the detail work. Normally at a performance I am looking at the total imagery and concentrating on the experience that is being created rather than on details, so this has been a very nice addition.

I also like the fact that Margaret Tracey has a very lovely presence and sympathetic teaching technique and refers to the students as "ladies and gentlemen."
