I received the new DVD of Pierre Lacotte's ballet, "Marco Spada," starring Rudolf Nureyev and Ghislaine Thesmar. It is wonderful! Their dancing is superb! Rudi was nearly 44 years old, yet danced as if he were 34. There is a lot of dancing, very unusual (to me, anyway)combinations - but terrific. Great story about an infamous Italian bandit. Very funny. It's obvious Rudi had a great time dancing this role. Pierre Lacotte shares wonderful memories of creating this ballet with Rudolf. Beautiful costumes and music. I highly recommend it. I bought it from Amazon.com. It is a treat to have different ballets on dvd for a change, and this one is a joy.
