Ballet seems to have played a larger than expected part in the successes of the two street dance groups, Flawless and Diversity, that appeared in the final of the TV programme Britain's got Talent.

Diversity went on to win the competition and prize money of £100,000. Both the groups were sensational with Flawless just a little bit slicker than Diversity, but I'm sure it was the amazingly inventive choreography from the winning group that clinched the prize.
Street dancing’s gain seems to be ballet's loss here. If only there was the same degree of originality and vitality the British ballet world.
