OK, so I know I keep writing about tacky ballet I see on TV but this one takes the cake! Late last night I was watching TV and a commercial for Burger King comes on and I think it was called "Rut - Cracker" but can't be certain. Anyway, it uses Nutcracker sugar plum music and has a bunch of what appear to be ballerinas in tutus that have one dollar bills attached all over them and lime green pointe shoes. The theme is the Burger King 1.00 value menu but the dancing is hilarious to watch. Especially the ballerina at the end who shoves her hands down the guys pant pockets from behind. I don't know who put this commercial together but it should go into the hall of fame for REALLY BAD usage of what apppears to be ballerina(s). I hope this is not just a local commercial for south florida as it is really funny to watch. Anyone seen this yet??? Bizarre!

I've seen it here in Milwaukee, and I agree, it's not that great, i just find it a very strange concept for a BK advert!

I saw it on a network TV program broadcast to Seattle a few nights ago. I had only a fleeting glimpse of it since I was multi-tasking late at night and my attention was riveted only because of the music. Hopefully, it will appear when more of my attention is focused on the video.

So we've established it's a national commercial. I guess I have to start watching TV again.

This may not be exactly the same one (it uses the party scene march music, not the Sugar Plum), but I thought it might be appropriate, given the season, to bump this to the top.

On the other hand, in a world which is not inherently open to classical arts forms, it did provide employment to quite a few dancers.

...But the idea of female dancers with dollar bills tucked into their costumes might have been rethought....
