It starts April 25.

Here's an article about the San Francisco Bay Area's celebration.

Sunday, April 20, 2008

It begins Friday with a public conga line in Union Square at noon and ends 10 days later with a May 4 slate of performances, classes and communal dancing spread out from Mountain View to Berkeley and Oakland and all over San Francisco. The free event from noon to 5 p.m. will feature more than 35 dance groups, including Bay Area professional groups and students from San Jose State University and Santa Clara University.
