Do you know about any venue? I’m not able to find any

The ABT and the NYCB are touring and I haven’t found any other classical or neoclassical Company performing on that dates in NY –Alvin Ayley, D.T. of Harlem, New York Theatre Ballet,...) I have also looked at many theatres usually programming dance and no way, is it possible? can it be possible that during a whole week there is no dance performance in NY?

Any help or suggestion would be very much welcome.

Greetings

My earlier reply seems to have utterly disappeared (I saw it posted...), but unfortunately, I think you are hitting one of the traditional off points of the spring. Not only is Easter so early that people may be off skiing or the schoolbreak be a bit later, but also union contracts probably allow for a day or two off (or major overtime), so large companies would probably opt not to perform over the holiday.

NYCB and ABT don't perform in NYC in March, Dance Theater of Harlem no longer exists, NYTB's season is nearly or just over. You're just missing classical/contemporary dance at City Center and the Joyce, and City Center is dark for the week in prep for Encores!. Nor is there any dance at McCarter Theater or NJPAC, the two main easily accessible theatres in NJ.

There is some contemporary dance at Dance Theatre Workshop (Adrienne Truscott), Laguardia High School for the Performing Arts and Joyce SoHo, and African dance at the Joyce.

Thank you ksneds, I didn’t know but it is similar to what happens in Spain. Of course to be able to take a whole week off to visit NY with friends we have to take profit of such holidays for all of us to have no problems with our work

But also thanks so much Salzberg!!

By means of the first link I’ve found:

Is there anybody who knows a bit more about the company or even the show and that can let me know?

The other two links I had already visited and there is nothing working for us.

I really thank you very much for your help and please, excuse-me  , but is there one or two Musicals that you can recommend me? there are so many looking great :)
