I stumbled upon this website after clicking on the Profile of a CD poster (Article19-Michelle) who responded with a ‘smile’ to my posts on ‘Five Things I Love About Ballet.’ Artcile19 is a fascinating website about the state of dance and rights or lack thereof of dancers. Below was my favorite quote from the article: ‘Where are the Dancers?’

Quote:
Speak to defend your work, speak to damn us (Article19) to hell, speak to put forward your own ideas about new ways of running this profession, but for the love of chocolate milk, open your damn mouth and say something. It is inexcusable for you not to!

our Ed wanted to put something more provocative than 'chocolate milk' but restrained himself at the last minute.

Article 19 rocks!!!!! This website has been a favortie of mine for some time now. They did a review/critique of a BBC broadcast that aired back in december/January 05/06 without a name for the dance reviewer that was right on the money. I WISH we had dance journalists in this country like that. Tell it like it is! Anyone who hasen't seen the website should definitely check it out.
