Indian dancers and members of the Happensdance troupe from New Orleans joined forces at Chase Plaza on Thursday afternoon.
The two groups largely overcame the pitfalls of fitting the choreographic pieces together and blending dissimilar styles of traditional Indian and Western modern dance to make “Ocean of Light,” conceived by
Sanjay Doddamani and choreographed by Dr. Doddamani and Jeanne Jaubert and performed for the most part to traditional Indian music.
