Get up and move at dance festival From The Register-Guard (Oregon)
Hip-hop, tango, break dancing, theater for children and grandparents, DanceAbility and contact improvisation will be among the styles presented during the fourth annual Eugene Dance Festival at the WOW Hall next weekend.
This year's theme is "Dance Into Diversity." Producer and founder Alito Alessi believes the festival, in which workshops play a dominant role, will provide "a weekend of dance, theater and music for all ages and all abilities in a cross-pollination celebration of Eugene dance communities."
Alessi, who heads the Joint Forces Dance Company, created the Eugene Dance Festival as part of his international efforts to integrate dance communities of people with varying abilities.
