Article in the NY Times By Jennifer Dunning
2 Festivals are Offering Films, Photos and Shows
Dancegoers will face an embarrassment of riches this weekend, when two ambitious festivals open at theaters and exhibition spaces around Manhattan.
The Dance on Camera Festival is presenting six programs at the Walter Reade Theater at Lincoln Center, repeated next Friday and Saturday, that range from films about international ballet stars and personalities to narrative shorts and a documentary and animated film about Vaslav Nijinsky. One of the most interesting-sounding programs is "Pioneers in New Media" (tomorrow and next Saturday at 1 p.m.), a showcase for experimentations by directors, including Doris Chase, Pooh Kaye, the British animator Bob Godfrey and Kathy Rose, who integrates live performing with film in her new "Kleopat'Ra."
click for more

[This message has been edited by Misa_danseuse (edited January 11, 2002).]
