Festival To Be `Edgy'

The Ninth International Festival of Arts & Ideas next June will be a "younger, more edgy" event, a mixture of "high art and hip-hop," according to executive director Mary Miller.

The festival will be held throughout New Haven from June 11 to 26 and will feature free and ticketed events from performing and visual artists from 30 countries - a record number. About 80 percent of the programming is confirmed.
