quote:
A cross between Strictly Ballroom and The Full Monty, Bootmen works, largely because it too celebrates the underdog. Think of it this way: while The Full Monty was about flashing your bits, Bootmen is about flashing your boots. So it's an unassuming, uplifting, simple film, but it does touch on a uniquely Australian division: yobbo versus artist.

http://www.smh.com.au:80/news/0010/07/text/features3.html

I loved the show! Dein Perry's choreography has given tap dancing a new meaning AND opened doors for bored and trapped young men and women in small towns and remote places. Bootmen, a down-to-earth story about people and their struggle to carve their own niche into a world that has been predestined for them, is definitely worth a look! Perry's tapping sequences, danced by Garcia and the rest of the tapping troupe, are what give the film its edge.
------------------
[This message has been edited by Jennifer]

[This message has been edited by Jennifer (edited November 22, 2000).]

Didn't Dein Perry have something to do with Tap Dogs?
